Class Structure
Warm-Up (10 minutes)
Classes begin with fun, game-based warm-ups designed to get kids moving and smiling. Think relay races, animal walks, and coordination challenges. This is not a military boot camp. It is engaging, energetic, and age-appropriate.
Technique (20 minutes)
The coach introduces basic stances, punches, and kicks. Children work on pads held by the coach or assistant, learning proper form and developing coordination. Everything is broken down into simple, repeatable steps.
Partner Drills (15 minutes)
Children pair up for controlled pad work. One child holds the pad, the other practises their technique. There is no contact between children. The coach moves between pairs giving individual feedback and encouragement.
Cool-Down (5-10 minutes)
Stretching, breathing exercises, and a group circle where the coach highlights positive efforts. Every child leaves feeling acknowledged.
Common Parent Concerns
"Will my child get hurt?"
No. At the Preparation level, there is zero contact between children. All striking is done on pads held by coaches or partners. Safety is the foundation of everything we do.
"My child is shy."
Shy kids thrive at RAMA. Our coaches are trained in youth development and understand that not every child walks in ready to shout and high-five. Quiet encouragement, patient instruction, and a supportive environment allow shy children to open up at their own pace.
"What if they don't like it?"
There is absolutely no obligation after a free trial. No sales pitch, no pressure. That said, over 80% of trial children come back for more. The environment speaks for itself.
After the Trial
Once class finishes, the coach will have a brief chat with you. They will share how your child did, answer any questions, and explain the next steps if you are interested. There is no hard sell, just honest feedback and an open door.
